DANGER CYANIDE; JUST AN OLD SIGN I GOT from a junk store in sydney that now resides above my bed.
Collage picture: a shitty little collage picture i made out of a bunch of old magazines i found in a trash pile in paris last year. An old lady had pssed away and they threw all her possesions out onto the street. She had a stack of old magazines that were going to be trash so i kept a bunch of them.
hanging tools: some old farming tools i got from an antique store in bangalow. Its one of my favourite places to go visit for wierd shit for our house. There is a whole set of these that hang in the dining area that i think alot of people get really creeped out by.
How to draw a bunny: An awesome documentary on Ray Johnson. An amazing New York artists whos work was never really appreciated until he passed in way in what many people believed was his final performance art piece. The picture to the left is a print of one of his correspondence pieces.
HANGING ANTLER: My mum bought me this paint brush antler for christmas. I think it might be one of my favourite presents i’ve ever recieved.
BEAR MASK: Bought a while back from a flea market from an old man who had just cleared out his house, he bought it for his daughter when she was 4 years old and she is now 38 and he has held onto it ever since. Also creeps alot of people out when they come to our house.
OLD PHOTOS: photos i got from the Fairfax flea market in LA last time i was there. I love searching through and collecting peoples old photos. Everynow and again you’ll discover something really amazing.
SUITCASE AND BOX: just random boxes and suitcases ive collected over the years, i have a bunch of them that are used for storage or tables or various other things.
BOARDING PASS STACK: ontop of the suitcase is part of my boarding pass collection. I have been collecting them for about 6 or 7 years now and last time i counted i had around 400. that was a year or two ago now i think,.
GREEN JAR: i have no idea what this is. Its japanese and has been in my kitchen cupboard since the day i moved in. I havnt dared open it and it has two wierd slimy ball shaped things immersed in some kind of liquid. I could be one of many things that i would never dare put in my mouth,
SUPER 8: Unfortunately this super 8 uses a process that isnt in use any more. it actually takes 16 mm film that once you shootyou remove and flip to shoot the opposite side, the film is removed and then cut down the middle to create two rolls of 8mm. seems like a tedious process.
BW zine: This is a little Zine that THOM PRINGLE gave me a few weeks back when he came down to visit. It’s from a trip he recently did to NYC. He printed them and hand binded them all himself just to give to his friends. Such a fucking awesome guy and one of the nicest people youll ever meet.
